Hello. This is my design space. I've created a page to bring you all of my work in one place. A few years ago I took some photography courses in the continuing education program at RISD. I wanted to learn a little more on operating a camera, composition, and editing software. I purchased a Canon Rebel digital camera and snapped my a$$ off. My favorite thing to photgraph was food. I took on a number of paid shoots, as well as shooting just for fun in nature. The editing part of photography made me realize that I enjoy it more as a hobby and not something I truly wanted to pursue as a career. However I still have my camera and I'm grateful to have the skill. Since I am a creative at heart, I moved on to a different avenue of creating and that happens to be earrings. The earrings have since led to other handmade items such as ashtrays, small boxes, bookmarks, and a few other small items. This was the birth of Miss Mariss Designs. I create everything from epoxy resin. I'm one year in and to date I've participated in over 15 vendor markets since April of 2024 and I got some of my stock into one of my favorite small shops in Providence, Craftland. In one year I have already seen growth in a few aspects of this small endeavor. In August of 2024 I decided I wanted to go back to school. I want to expand my creative abilities and knowledge. I am taking courses in the Graphic Design program and the first one I signed up for was Interactive Media and Web Design. The class was a big challenge for me but I am happy I did it. I've included my projects from class, my photos, and some of my resin work for you to enjoy.
